One of the aims of the Jigsaw project is to encourage and facilitate groups to report their work and findings to the Cambridgeshire Historic Environment Record (CHER), and to write reports. See the Guides page for further advice on recording and reporting here.
Remember to contact CHER directly by email at archaeology@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or telephone on 01223 728569/592 to report findings at any of the following stages of research:
- * Discovery of a site
- * Amendment to existing HER record
- * Notification that you are about to start research
- * Interim report for an ongoing project
- * Notification that you have completed research
- * Final report for a finished project
Metal Detectorists:
Individual archaeological objects found by members of the public, including metal-detected finds, should be repored directly to Helen Fowler, the Finds Liaison Officer for the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Cambridgeshire: Helen.Fowler@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
