We had a great start to our 2014 training programme with our first courses in Flint Identification led by Barry Bishop on Saturday. In the morning session Barry talked us through the development of flint technology through time and gave us some hands-on time looking at flint technology. In the afternoon, representatives from four groups stayed to have their own group's flint identified by Barry, who talked them through ways of identifying their flint assemblage. 22 people attended the courses, and many of these people were new to Jigsaw and Jigsaw groups, which is great news!
The next courses are on Saturday 8th March at Ely Museum, when we will be learning to identify Medieval pottery types. These courses are now fully-booked, but if you would like to be put on the reserve list or book for any other courses, please do so through our training courses page.
Praise from the courses:
"First-class tuition from an exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable tutor. A friendly but professional atmosphere from the start and a relaxed but structured approach to the subject matter delivery."
