Fenland Archaeological Society is delighted to be hosting a flint knapping demonstration by the nationally known flint knapper Mr. John Lord. In 1975, John and his wife were engaged by the Department of the Environment, (now English Heritage), to take custody of Grimes Graves, the Neolithic flint mining site at Lynford, Norfolk. That was the start of their prehistoric technology research projects, and they strove to master the art of flint knapping.
